This started when we had to arrange some Springsteen covers for the Splendid Dead Boss-anova tribute night and because the Boss is a big fan of Suicide and so are we, we figured we’d approach his songs in that style. That they came out a bit more like Yazoo is our accidental tribute to the respective talents of Suicide and Springsteen. Read more about this here.

SUPERHUNKS WANT YR FLOWER EP (2005)
For our second ep, we wanted to explore the nascent relationship between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, which has of course blossomed into the modern day cinderella story none of us could have foreseen in those halcyon days B.S. (Before Suri). Back then it was enough to marvel at the Superhunks as they went about their extraordinary lives. We tried to capture some of the emotion we felt as news broke of Maverick’s intention to deflower Joey at a press conference to announce his elevation to Actual Deity.

PEACHES OF THE WEST END EP (2005)
We wrote and recorded our first ep in a single evening, it was high on concept and low on fidelity. When we started we wanted to have a really stupid pretentious name (check) and planned to drink cocktails and make theme eps. This one was a snapshot of Glasgow’s Saturday night meatmarket singles scene. We wanted to articulate what it was like for the young adult in the noughties, so that future generations could better understand Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps.
